Maya Williams

Miraculous

Reece
is exactly
how she raised
her sons
to view God:
miraculous.
       I
feel her
spirit
when she
cradles
babies in
her arms
to sniff
their necks;
the only
perfection
she calls
to witness.
       I
feel holy
in her
love
when I hold
her body in
my arms.
We both
differ in
our definitions
of perfection.
